TROOP 82 MEMORIAL FUND

In 1991 Boy Scout Troop 82 of Agawam, MA, created the Dan Donatini Campership Fund in memory of a former troop member. Monies from this fund have been used exclusively to help train junior leaders in the Troop. Through ongoing donations and fund raising, the fund has continued to honor the legacy of our former member.

In 2006, Troop 82 mourned the passing of two former Scoutmasters, Neil Wilson and Richard Gingras, Jr.  As former Scoutmasters and long-time supporters of Troop 82 and the Scouts of Agawam, these two gentlemen had a lasting impact on generations of young men.

To honor these two men the Troop committee has decided to combine the donations made in their memories with those in the Dan Donatini Campership Fund to create a new "Troop 82 Memorial Fund".

This new memorial fund will continue to be used to assist in training young men to be the leaders of tomorrow while allowing the friends and families of Troop 82 to honor the memories of loved ones and make a lasting impact on our youth.

Established in 1960, Troop 82 has served the community by providing the Scouting experience to hundreds of young men through exciting programs and dedicated volunteer leaders. Tax-deductible donations may be made to the "Troop 82 Memorial Fund" c/o Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St. Agawam, MA 01001.  For more information call Assistant Scoutmaster Joe Longo at (413) 786-9490.
